Honestly, I'm torn and could use some real-world advice from people who've been in my shoes. I've got a 2012 Patrol that I absolutely love, but I had a bit of a mishap in the wadi last month – nothing too dramatic, just a heavy thud against a hidden rock that I didn't see. At first, everything seemed fine, but I've started noticing the rear door doesn't close as smoothly anymore and there's a faint vibration at highway speeds that wasn't there before. Took it to a general garage and they mentioned the chassis rails might have taken a knock, which is pretty much my worst nightmare. The car still drives, but I'm worried about safety and long-term damage if I just leave it. I know repairs aren't cheap, but scrapping it feels like giving up on a car that has so much life left in it. Has anyone gone through a chassis repair on an older SUV and regretted it, or was it worth every dirham to get your car back to how it used to be?
