I was bored last weekend and actually added up everything I've spent on my 2017 Wrangler over the past two years, and honestly I had to sit down for a minute. Between tyres, the AC compressor that died in July, a battery, and all the regular servicing, it's more than I expected and I only drive about 1,500 km a month. Nothing has gone catastrophically wrong, touch wood, but I feel like I'm always paying for something. I started reading about Affordable Jeep upkeep and maintenance and it got me thinking about whether I'm actually spending smart or just reacting to whatever breaks next. So I'm curious how you guys handle it. Do you stick to a fixed service interval no matter what, or do you wait for symptoms? Do you buy your own oil and filters and just pay for labour? And is there anything you've learned to say no to because it's not really necessary? I'd rather build some kind of plan instead of just bleeding money every few months.
